Adams-Madams

OK a little warning that this is not your normal Idol review but just a fun assessment of
my experience at two of the American Idol So Cal shows.  I'm pretty much a fun party girl and was ready to make this a fun crazy night and also being able to see and possibly meet my favorite obsession, Yes, Adam Lambert.  Oh and please don't judge my probably poor grammar and many run on sentences, I hope I'm not getting graded on this assignment, ha ha.

So where do I start.  I'm from Southern California but now living in Las Vegas and was really upset that the tour was not hitting our town, Bastards.  I knew I couldn't miss seeing the Adamster in person so I checked out the So Cal venues and headed out the early part of the week and figured I'd swing one of the locations somehow.  I was really lucky and purchased 2 tickets to go to the Ontario Citizens Bank Arena on E-bay a day or two before the concert.  I was center stage 10 rows back on the aisle and only paid $25 over the normal ticket price, Game On, it was meant to be.
Boy we were ready for some fun the night of the event.  However my friend wasn't a huge idol or Adam fan but she's always ready for some fun and I know how to have it.
We started off by going to the local Chili's and having a snack and a cocktail.  The venue was really close and we got right into the parking lot, kudos to the free parking in Ontario, SWEET.  Well now that we were safely parked, we guzzled down 2 Smirnoff ices each in the car, yummy.  If you havn't noticed, YES the Madam likey's the drinkeys and there's more to come.

We now run into the venue with our bladders ready to explode and couldn't believe the lines at the bathrooms, Craziness.  After the torture of our first line experience of the night we now start our drinking strategy, we wait in the concession line to get a large soda and of course we added our own special something to it, a little vanilla vodka, Hey don't judge, have you seen the prices at the concessions, ha ha.

Now it's off to our seats and were completely clueless how to get to them, so we just head down to the floor and they gave us an excellent escort right to our seats, we felt so special.  We walked down to our seats when Michael had already started and he was a great opener for the show.  I must say I was really impressed with everyone's performance and I was on my feet dancing or singing with everyone of them.  Well now we're realizing that were a little tipsy and having the time of our life.  One of the funniest parts of the night is when Anoop started and his introduction screen is his head floating in these white puffy clouds I almost lost it and was laughing so hard that the lady in front of me thought I was gonna die.  I was waiting for unicorns and rainbows to come next, too much, poor Anoop, although he kinda makes a joke about it himself.
Woo Hoo, Intermission is coming and we take off to avoid the line, only saw a little bit of the first group performance but it looked like a lot of fun.

Time for round two and we make our way to the concessions again, however were out of goods and it's time to break down and buy the $12 cocktails, oh wait, doubles $24 cocktails or something close to that, Serious!
We end up meeting this guy in line that says he's a guitar technician for the band or some other bands and he just got back from tour with some band in Europe, Sorry I forgot who it was , but it was someone very recognizable.  So we schmooze him for a bit and he says he can get us into the meet and greet after the concert, Oh please don't tease us. (I'll get back to that later)
Back to the concert and I'm getting excited because it's getting closer to launch time, and my friend is laughing at me, What Ever.  I designate her to be picture taker and run to the front of the stage whenever possible for pics.  We were getting a groove down to where the Aisle Nazi's left us alone.

All I can say is that Adam was amazing and I was in my warm and fuzzy place just taking every minute in.  I already knew all the routines and where he was going next on stage, so I kept pushing my friend, GO, get that picture, so we got some good ones, which I will post.  Before you knew it he was gone, sucked up by the stage, WHY, GOD, WHY, it was too short.

We watched most of the group number and off again to the bathrooms before the craziness began, but everyone else had the same idea.  As we waited and watched the place thin out, we realized OMG, we have to go find that guy and get into the meet and greet.  We saw a group of people in the stands and eagle eyed our new best friend.  We snuck down to where he was sitting and tried to livin' up the mood, and do our best schmoozing.  The manager now gathered all the meet and greet troops and we follow right behind to see if we could get the OK.  Well imagine our surprise when the guy couldn't get us in and we practically begged to get in.  The idols manager was like No Way, they need badges, shot down and we didn't even care because we thought it was funny enough that we were even trying to attempt such a feat.  We said thanks for trying stuck out our upper lips and sulked away.  What Duffesses we are.

We skip off outside and realize OMG again, I think we can get their autographs out by the busses, however we don't know the process and end up sitting in our car listening to the radio.  My friend has to go to the bathroom so bad so I run her back to the front of the arena.  By the time we got back to the barricades we missed the whole thing, I even made some specialized pictures for everyone to sign, WAHHHHH.
So I run into one of my good friends at the concert and he says he's going to tomorrows show in San Diego and if I wanna go, and I said HELL YA, another chance to meet my Sexy Rock God, sign me up.

Day Two of my So Cal idol experience, now this one will be much shorter.  This time I dressed real casual and didn't have as many cocktails so I was a little tamer.  My friend has connections and we were able to get left over family tickets at the window at cost.  We had 3rd row off to the side this time, OMG, amazing.  We were hoping to get the meet and greet passes that would normally come with the tickets but they must've given them to someone else.
Again the concert was a blast and I was dancing and singing to each Idol.  Oh I got a great picture of Anoops' intro screen, couldn't resist taking that picture.
We decided to leave the concert early since we already seen it and get a good spot at the barricades.  This time I was with an experienced autographer getter, so I knew I would get some good stuff.  I'm usually on the other side of this type of thing so it was really bizarre (I won't say why, but it was fun being on the other end).  Had a blast just hanging with the peeps and fighting to keep our excellent spot.  A really cute little girl kept trying to squeeze in and we told her parents we would let her in once the Idols came out, and that we needed her cuteness to get them to come over.  Everyone got a good laugh from that.  At one point someone started saying I looked like Kelly Pickler and that started a little stir, like Kelly would be out with the fans to get autographs, people are so gullible.

OK so the idols started coming out and everyone was so nice, they really try and make the time to get to everyone and I made sure to say how great each one was and they all would stop and say Thank you.  Oh and that little girl, GOLDEN, she was an attention getter, they all had to stop and sign her jacket, OK, well I made sure they all stopped and signed her jacket, I knew she would be useful (insert sinister laugh here).

So the best part of the night is when the idols manager walked right up in front of me, and I was OH SH*T, I figured he recognized me from the night before and I'm busted for being such a dork.  However I realized I toned down my look about 80% and I looked like the girl next door.  He looked right at me and I panicked and smiled at him, so he winked back, I was still a little paranoid of why he wouldn't go away, although we really didn't do anything bad the night before but just look stupid.
Well now he walks right up to me and gives me a 8x10 of Kris and I was shocked and puzzled on why he was giving me this and than BAM, Kris is standing right in front of me and I give him my 8x10 to sign, he was really sweet, and very soft spoken.  My neighbors were puzzled too and I just shrugged my shoulders and said I don't know, I guess he liked me :).
I'm now waiting with my awesome home made pictures of Adam stretched out and  waiting with anticipation, and then the manager came back again and swiped my pictures from me.  I was like what the F***, and everyone else around me asked why he did that, of course no clue, and he's just being silly and having fun with me, since he gave me a Kris picture I figured he was taking my pictures.  But heavens to Betsy if he doesn't bring them right back and they are both signed by my ADAM!  The manager was so cool that he knew Adam was gonna get pulled away and he wanted to make sure he signed mine (insert sound of angels here).  That so made my night.  Again everyone hated me and wondered why he kept doing me the favors so I said the manager was my uncle, TOO FUNNY.  I later called the manager over and took a picture with him, but of course it didn't come out, he's my new hero :)  I still don't know if he knew that I was the same person from the show before but either way, Hilarious.

Well I had a great night and I drove straight back to Vegas, I was wired with Idol energy and got home at 6am.

Well I hope you enjoyed my crazy Idol experiences, I could have wrote a whole thing about how everyone did at the concert, but everyone does that and I thought just sharing my overall silliness of events would be fun.
